One of our commercial projects, Old Village did a complete interior and exterior renovation of the school building including a new entrance (below) and hardwood floors throughout (above).
Formerly known as New Horizons Montessori School, The Montessori School (TMS) was founded in Fort Washington in 1970 by a group of parents determined to provide quality Montessori education for their children through the sixth grade. Now located in Dresher on a seven-acre campus, in newly renovated facilities, TMS consists of a Toddler section (18 months–3 years), Children’s Houses (3’s, 4’s and 5’s), Lower Elementary (Grades 1–3) and Upper Elementary (Grades 4–6) classes, as well as before- and after-school Extended Hours Programs. Besides its academic curriculum, TMS offers programs in Environmental Science, Library/Technology, Music, Physical Education, Spanish and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
The interior renovation include tearing down the old wall and building new ones, and removing the old linoleum floors and installing new hardwood floors
Old Village Master Painters is also a proud supporter of The Montessori School
Old Village installed the beautiful entrance way to the school using Ipe Mahogany siding. Ipe Mahogany is a very hard, very durable wood that can be difficult to work with but will last forever. We finished it using Australian Timber Oil to bring out the natural color and prevent it from fading.
