Fitler Square, created from a brickyard and named to honor Mayor Edwin H. Fitler, was once a rough and tumble working class neighborhood. Over time the neighborhood has become the home of some of the city's most prominent citizens: naturalist Edward Drinker Cope, the home and then library and museum of the Rosenbach brothers and the home of the popular war journalist and novelist Richard Harding Davis. Old Village painted the interior and exterior of this beautiful c1820 town home on Delancey Place in the historic Fitler Square neighborhood or Philadelphia. We used high gloss finishes from Fine Paints of Europe throughout and the Old Village Design Studio created a custom stain for the interior and exterior of the front entrance and created a gorgeous venetian plaster treatment for the foyer.

The Old Village Design Studio restored the entrance door to enhance what was called the "severely plain" exterior of The Atheneum in the Washington Square section of the city. We removed layers of drab, muddy brown paint and then applied a beautiful custom stain to bring an elegant look to the stone facade of this strong>National Historic Landmark.

We removed all the lead paint then repainted the exterior of this historic home on St Martin's Lane in Chestnut Hill (listed by the Chestnut Hill Preservation and Historical Association) including the beautiful palladium windows. Old Village is EPA Certified for the Removal of Lead Paint.
