Most Significant Estate in the Philadelphia Region
Arbor Hill Estate, in Fort Washington, has been called "the most significant estate in the entire Philadelphia region". Old Village Master Painters had the pleasure to work on this fine home, creating a special finish for the mahogany trim used throughout the interior and exterior of this fine home.
The estate features a 40,000 square foot residence set on 70 beautifully landscaped acres in Fort Washington, just north of Philadelphia. Conceived by the world class architect, Rafael Viñoly, designer of the Kimmel Center, master planner of New York University's campus in Dubai and the Edward M. Kennedy Institute, and detailed by the design team of Sills and Huniford "“The Arbor Hill estate was designed for the art connoisseur and nature admirer creating an avant-garde contemporary home with first-class amenities.” (Kathleen Coumou, Christie's International Real Estate)
The home has 10 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms and was designed in the shape of a 'U' around a center courtyard so that the fields and courtyard are visible from anywhere in the house. The sides of the U make three wings; one for the family, one for two dining rooms, and one that features a heroic scale great room, grand foyer and media room.
