Congratulations to our good friends at Harth Builders for earning the prestigious 2017 National Contractor of the Year Award in the category of Commercial Exterior Renovation from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry for the restoration and remodeling of the Dixon Meadows Farmhouse. Old Village was a sub-contractor on this project.
The Dixon Meadow Preserve, located at Thomas and Flourtown Roads in Whitemarsh Township, is a 14-acre naturalized area created to manage stormwater, provide natural habitat, and offer passive recreation for the community. The preserve is located within the 98-acre Angus Tract, which is part of the 450-acre preserved Erdenheim Farm, and was developed by The Whitemarsh Foundation and Whitemarsh Township. Old Village Master Painters worked with Harth Builders to restore the c1850s farmhouse located next to the preserve and now used as offices and visitors' center. We did all interior and exterior painting in addition to restoration work.
This old farmhouse needed a lot of work both inside and out. Before and after photos below.
After restoration and painting...
Time was even less kind to the interior of this old farmhouse..
We helped transform that old room into a beautiful kitchen..
