Lead Paint ~ Window Restoration St Martin's Lan

St Martins Lane Mansion

Old Village Master Painters had the pleasure to work on a Lead Paint RRP project on this beautiful historic mansion - recognized by the Chestnut Hill Preservation and Historical Association - on St Martin's Lane. The home features large arched palladian windows and shutters facing the inner courtyard. The 1st floor features casements and the 2nd floor louvered shutters, all of which had been painted shut for years.
The St. Martin's Lane area was at the core of Chestnut Hill's transformation from a rural village to a suburban community served by two railroad lines. Developed by Pennsylvania Railroad director Henry Howard Houston, and continued by his son-in-law George Woodward, St. Martin's includes several community institutions as well as many fine homes.
We safely removed the lead paint and restored the windows to like-new condition, then repainted the exterior.

The ornamentation on windows, doors and other architectural details are part of what makes your home unique and gives it character. Preserving these details - mill-work, carvings, wavy antique glass - is essential to our restoration process.
