Old Village Master Painters and the Old Village Design Studio had the pleasure to bring the Old Village touch to Delancey Place (described as Philadelphia's Most Prestigious Address) in the city's Rittenhouse/Fitler Square neighborhood.
Old Village did all interior and exterior painting on this restoration project. We used high gloss finishes from Fine Paints of Europe throughout, created an elegant custom finish for the front door and a gorgeous venetian plaster treatment for the foyer.
This restoration was featured in the November 2016 issue of Philadelphia Magazine (p146).
Old Village Master Painters did all interior and exterior painting and finishing on this beautiful new construction, chateau-style home in Gwynedd Valley, PA. Special features include the lovely pale yellow in the kitchen from Donald Kaufman Colors, the gorgeous red mahogany stain from Sikkens on the front door, a nice pickling effect we did on the beams around the front door, a deep walnut french polish on the handrails of the sweeping staircase, and beautiful cloth wallcoverings from Maharam that Old Village applied in the two story foyer. We used Impervo from Benjamin Moore on the interior woodwork and Sherwin Williams Duration on the exterior, including the custom shutters.
The Old Village Design Studio™ recently created a spectrum of custom, specialty finishes for our client in Chester County.
These included a soft, bleached effect on the pillowed antique oak floors, a lighter "palomino" stain for the 2 story bedroom cabinetry, and a fumed oak effect on the wall panels.

We did all interior and exterior painting on this renovation project ~ applied gorgeous wallcoverings in the grand foyer ~ and created a unique custom finish for the entrance doors.
Old Village removed all the lead paint then restored and repainted the windows and shutters in the courtyard of this historic home in on St Martin's Lane in Chestnut Hill.
Old Village refinished the mahogany railing on the staircase on this beautiful home in Skippack and created a special finish for the wooden beams on the coffered ceiling to give them a gorgeous antique look. We also painted the recessed parts of the coffered ceiling, the walls in a light green, bright red trim on the windows and white on the interior woodwork.

Originally a 200 acre summer escape developed by prominent Philadelphia merchant Anthony Morris in 1796, The Highlands today is a 44 acre estate that features a late 18th century Georgian mansion and two-acre formal garden.
The property was greatly enhance by the Schaeff family in the 19th century before falling into disrepair in the early 20th. Miss Caroline Sinkler restored to its former elegance and prominence as an historical treasure beginning in 1917. Miss Sinkler’s niece, Emily Sinkler Roosevelt, purchased the property in 1941 and in 1957 transferred it to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has been managed by The Highlands Historical Society since 1975.
Old Village has had the pleasure to work on projects both at the Mansion and the estate's out-buildings including a Lead Paint Renovation, Repair and Paint (RPP) project on the c1844 Gardener's Cottage on the estate.
Old Village Master Painters did all interior and exterior painting on the restoration of this carriage house in Flourtown, and created a unique pickled wood effect for the ceiling in the Great Room.
The Carmel Kitchen and Wine Bar is a new restaurant in Warrington featuring modern interpretations of Mediterranean cuisine meticulously paired with global wines and house-infused cocktails. The Old Village Design Studio was invited to create a venetian plaster treatment for their exterior terrace.
Old Village worked with the homeowners to to restore the original color scheme from historic pictures of the this beautiful Chestnut Hill Victorian. Special features include cedar shakes in alternating rows of round/half cove shapes on the exterior plus gorgeous old arched, leaded windows. We added a rustic stain to bring out the character in the antique front door.
Designed by Louis Kahn (1901-1974), one of the most influential architects of the mid-20th century, the Korman House in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania is considered Kahn’s finest (and last) residential project. Although the home was completed in 1973, the weather over 30+ years had damaged the cypress panels on the exterior. Old Village Master Painters restored the cypress in a project that was featured in the February 2005 issue of Architectural Digest.
Architect Rafael Viñoly's Arbor Hill Estate, in Fort Washington, has been called "the most significant estate in the entire Philadelphia region". Old Village Master Painters had the pleasure to work on this fine home, creating a special finish for the mahogany trim used throughout the interior and exterior of this fine home. .
Old Village Master Painters worked with Cherokee Construction to convert this 19th century church in the Fitler Square/Rittenhouse Square neighborhood in Philadelphia into a private residence. We did all exterior painting, and restored and refinished wood panels, ceiling beams, and ornamental work inside.
A Polymer-Epoxy floors is not only a major aesthetic improvement over the typical unfinished concrete in most garages or basements, it provides a long-lasting, easy to clean and maintain, protection that can stand up to even the harsh conditions of the Franklin Auto Spa in Frazer. Old Village Master Painters installed a beautiful, durable polymer epoxy floor in the wash bay and used high quality paints and coatings from Sherwin Williams to protect the structure of the wash from the moist conditions, and painted the interior and exterior of the offices and customer service areas.
The National Historic Landmark The Athenaeum museum in Philadelphia described its exterior as "severely plain", at least until the Old Village Design Studio restored and created a beautiful new finish for the front doors.
The Dixon Meadow Preserve, located at Thomas and Flourtown Roads in Whitemarsh Township, is a 14-acre naturalized area created to manage stormwater, provide natural habitat, and offer passive recreation for the community. Old Village Master Painters worked with Harth Builders to restore the c1850s farmhouse located next to the preserve and now used as offices and visitors' center. We did all interior and exterior painting in addition to restoration work.
The exterior of this c1920s Georgian mansion in Chestnut Hill had numerous layers of lead paint covering beautiful details from this period like dormers, multi-paned windows, sunburst windows and classical details on the soffits and under several brick arch-ways. We safely removed all the old lead paint, restored the old windows - then repainted the exterior in a classic white.
The historic Sellersville Theater 1894 was originally built as a livery stable in 1894 where guests at the Washington Inn could park their horses. It was later converted to a theater - then a movie theater. After some hard times the building was restored and re-opened in the 2000s as the Sellersville Theater 1894. Old Village did all interior and exterior painting as part of this restoration.
Old Village was happy to take part in the recent restoration of the Sedgeley Club - the only lighthouse in Philadelphia and part of historic Boat House Row. We removed all the old paint then painted the exterior of the club. We also removed the windows and used our EnveloStrip™ process to remove the paint prior to restoring the windows.
